The Receipt Printer takes any ordinary, non-commercial moment of your day — a sigh, a fridge check, a nod in a hallway — and issues a fully itemized, professionally certified receipt for it, despite no money, goods, or services having changed hands at any point.
Every receipt gets its own transaction number, its own arbitrary fees, and its own permanent deduction from your Loyalty Balance.
The event itself is always listed at 0.00 RGT, because nothing was actually purchased. The fees are what you're really paying for: Emotional Overhead, Structural Integrity, Social Recovery, and other charges levied for reasons the Bureau does not disclose and you did not agree to.
Pricing is generated at random within a range the Bureau considers fair. Appeals are not accepted, largely because there is no one to appeal to.
Every transaction — again, not a real transaction — deducts points from your Loyalty Balance. There is no tier at which the balance stops dropping, and no known mechanism by which it can rise.
This is not a flaw in the loyalty program. This is the loyalty program.
There are no returns, no exchanges, and no manager. The events on this receipt already happened. There is nothing here to give back.
